Right on the heels of the Q4 event, it's time to start preparing for Q1! This time, we will be at Yorktown Beach and, to make it more interesting, we are going to do HILL REPEATS! We will start with a beverage at Coastal Thirst Beach Deli, a warmup run under the Coleman and up the hill, then meeting at Water Street Grill for another beverage. From there, we will run the hills at Ballard, Read, and Comte de Grasse, meeting at Yorktown Pub. We will then run those three hills again, finishing at Coastal Thirst for our final beverage and lunch. You are welcome to substitute beer with your drink of choice... This is a fun run so please understand that there are no rewards for being the first, just that you get your beverage first! Please make sure you RSVP so I can give the establishments an adequate headcount.
Don't feel like you have to run the hills. Walking them will get your heart rate up just as easily. Please mind the rules of the road. There will be other pedestrians and cars so be safe! This is a participate at your own risk event.
For my trail people, there are two trails that you can do in lieu of the pavement. One is at the picnic area, Tobacco Road, and the other is between Comte and Read.
