About this Event
ABOUT THIS WALK: Listen to the stories of Sheffield’s contribution to the Revolutionary War, as told by their spirits. Participants will engage with actors portraying several Revolutionary War soldiers who are buried in the historic Barnard cemetery. Rain or shine. Meet at the Dan Raymond house at 159 Main St. After a short presentation, participants will journey to the cemetery on Rt 7 just south of the town.
IMPORTANT: You must register no later than the business day preceding this walk, and we strongly encourage you to register ASAP, as this tour usually fills up. This is part of a series of in Berkshire County, MA and Litchfield County CT exploring the history, culture, and eco-systems of the Housatonic Valley.
WHAT TO BRING:

- appropriate walking footwear

- a fleece/sweater (sometimes unexpected winds/storms can drop temps)

If you want to donate, please pay or as cash or check made out to "Q-MoB Inc") & mailed to 16 Crane Ave; Pittsfield, MA 01201, or by donating $25/month, $35/mo, $50/month, $75/month, $100/month or more -- so you never have to donate at Q-MoB activities again. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
WEATHER: Please check the weather in Sheffield from your home before you leave for the walk, so that you will be able bring the right clothes to deal with any last minute changes in the weather. Weather in the Berkshires can change quickly and it always good to be prepared for rain, wind, & unexpectedly cooler or hotter temps than were forecast the day before. We will only cancel the walk if there is a forecast of a thunderstorm or sustained rain, and we will text you should this happen the day of the walk.
