About this Event
Join us on the lawn of Tanglewood for a beautiful potluck picnic, followed by an amazing performance (described below) by the Boston Symphony Orchestra of Beethoven, Straus, & Ives. Please find us (Tom Truss & Bart Church) by looking for the 3 pink balloons that will be floating above our picnic area under a tree near the center of the lawn.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must buy your ticket using this Tanglewood Ticketing link to join us on the lawn for the concert. If you do not buy your ticket from Tanglewood, you will not be allowed in. Call Tanglewood at 617-266-1200 to learn about EBT/Card-to-Culture discounted tickets.
WHAT TO BRING
- $10-$20 Tax-Deductible Donation to Q-MoB or bring cash or check made out to "BSCC" (Q-MoB's Non-Profit Fiscal Sponsor), unless this is your very 1st time ever at any Q-MoB Event, in which case join us for FREE. You can also avoid donating at each Q-MoB event by and donating $25/month, $50/mo, $75/mo, $100/mo or more.
- Lovely tapas (finger foods) &/or salads to share with about 6 others
- Lovely beverage(s) to share with about 6 others (alcohol or non-alcoholic)
- Blanket to help define our space
- Camping or Folding Chair
- Sunscreen
- A Parasol if you want to look fabulous & protect your skin from the sun
- Umbrella &/or Raingear, because the weather can be unpredictable in the Berkshires

Emanuel Ax returns to Tanglewood for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, a work of intense emotionality and complex musicality that takes the listener through light and shadow, hope and despair.
Andris Nelsons leads the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra to the stars in Strauss’ palatial Also sprach Zarathustra, and on a journey back home to New England through Ives’ textured Three Places in New England, which tells three very different stories of historic events and landmarks throughout the region.

If you need a ride or are open to carpooling, please indicate that when you are registering, & our ride coordinator will try to match you with people nearby who are interested in carpooling or offering rides.
OR : Besides purchasing your Tanglewood ticket, please donate $10-$20 to help assure Q-MoB can continue to offer more than 20 activities & multiple resources & services to rural queer men all over the region. If you attend 2 or more Q-MoB events/month, please consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor member. By donating $25, $50, $75, or $100/month you can help to sustain the incredible variety of activities, services, and resources Q-MoB provides and assure all of these activities are accessible to men regardless of their age, income, or ability, and best of all you can avoid having to donate at each and every event you attend. Monthly Sustaining Members pay only once a month and then can attend all our activities with no further donation.
