On Friday, November 21st, the Orchid Theatre opens its doors for another chapter of Q — a night where house isn’t just a sound, it’s a feeling. The bass hums like a heartbeat, the crowd moves as one, and the dance floor becomes home.
In the late ’90s and early 2000s, Q was more than a party — it was the center of queer culture in Metro Detroit. The place where artists, drag queens, DJs, and dreamers gathered to dance, connect, and be seen. Its spirit defined an era — a time when the dance floor wasn’t just a place to party, but a place to belong.
Now, that legacy continues. The legendary Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale headlines the night, joined by Gaby Hemlok and SAMUEL K.O., each bringing their own rhythm to the gathering. Expect deep grooves, warm energy, and the unmistakable pulse of Detroit house.
From the team behind Parasol Pool Parties, Icons of Evil, Return of Q, and Pride Pa-TEA-o, this is a night for friends, lovers, and chosen family to reconnect — to dance, sweat, and celebrate what brings us together.
