About this Event
Is it time to recalibrate? Join us in Charleston for a one day calibration session in March 2025.
Price includes 1 full day of calibration and lunch. Onsite, free parking is available.
About the Q Arabica Calibration
Licensed Q Arabica Graders must calibrate with each other every three years in order to test their abilities to accurately evaluate coffee quality based on their gained experience, knowledge, and standards/protocols learned in Q training. It is mandatory for all Q Graders to participate in a calibration if they wish to remain active as a Q Grader in good standing.
The calibration consists of three cupping flights (or tables- 6 samples each) of coffees with distinct attributes. All Q Graders must be in calibration and pass two of the three flights in order to renew their licenses and continue as Licensed Q Graders. Upon passing, the Q Grader license will remain valid for another 36 months, starting from the day of the calibration course.
PLEASE NOTE: After payment is made, please login to the CQI website and register for course #7105. You will need to register using your existing CQI account.
Cancellation/Reschedule Policy: If we are unable to meet the required course minimum for enrollees, we may need to cancel or reschedule the course for a later date. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible. However, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance or keep flexible travel arrangements. We are committed to working with all students and will do our best to be as flexible as possible to accommodate everyone!
