Get ready to indulge in a delightful celebration of tradition and flavor at our Pączki Party & Mardi Gras Dessert Tasting Experience! The Pączki Party began in 2019 as a fun celebration to get people excited for Fat Tuesday! It’s hosted by the Wisconsin Bakers Association in partnership with the Polish Center of Wisconsin. This year’s festivities will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025. This event sells out every year! Guests will need to purchase tickets in advance and RSVP by choosing a time to arrive for the tasting experience. Time slots will begin at 10 am with the last tasting session starting at 1:00 pm.
Tickets to the Pączki Party & Mardi Gras Dessert Tasting Experience include delicious samples from 8 fantastic local bakeries including Cranky Al's, Grebe's, Le Rêve Patisserie & Café, Elsie Mae's, MOR Bakery, Greige Patisserie, Bakehouse 23 MKE, and Breadsmith of Appleton!
Attendees will be given a Mardi Gras bead lanyard style passport upon arrival to take to each vendor station. At each station, attendees will be able to sample one dessert (samples may include pączki, king cakes, or other Mardi Gras related desserts). The passport will be checked off at each station indicating that the sample has been given out.
There will be live accordion music by Jimmy Locke, fun photo ops, a coloring contest for kids, raffle benefiting the Wisconsin Bakers Foundation, door prizes, special guest appearances by Little Miss Polish Fest. Each attendee will receive an admission ticket to the 2025 Polish Fest. A cash bar (21+) with pączki pairing options will be available as well.
