Let’s explore the Art of Ukrainian Easter Egg Writing.
Join us for a hands-on Pysanka workshop where a skilled Pysanka Artist will guide you step by step in creating your own beautifully designed, richly coloured Ukrainian Easter Egg.
It is NEW this year! Participants can choose between two decorating methods, and learn the technique, step by step with the guidance of our local Pysanka Artists.
Select the ONE technique you wish to learn, the session that suits you best and register online:
Traditional wax-resist technique, using a stylus of kistka to draw or write your designs.
OR
Lemko wax drop-pull technique, using a unique writing pin to create fun, bold, beautiful patterns by dropping and pulling wax
No experience required- just bring your creativity, curiosity and enjoy the fun, friendly atmosphere and you take home an original piece of art - a pysanka you created.
The ticket price of $45.00 covers supplies (eggs, writing tools, beeswax, and colourful dyes).
There are three time slots available:
9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
3:00 PM - 5:30 PM

In Canada, Pysanky are symbols of Ukrainian identity and pride. As the war in Ukraine continues, funds raised from the Pysanka Workshops, and Pysanka Kits will continue to support the humanitarian work of Canada Ukraine Foundation and many other projects supported by Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada, Ottawa Branch.
Pysanka kits and supplies are available for purchase on site after each workshop session.
