Pyramids, Platonic Solids and Sacred Shapes workshop

In this workshop we will examine the significance of the Pyramid to many Ancient Civilisations around the world and consider how Pyramid design evolved in Ancient Egypt resulting in the Great Pyramid at Giza, still considered to be one of the Ancient Wonders of the World.
The Platonic solids are a set of five three-dimensional geometric shapes, each composed of identical, regular polygons that meet at the same angles. They have been studied since antiquity and were linked by Plato and Aristotle to the elements. We will look at each of the Platonic Solids in turn as well as other shapes that are included in the category of sacred geometry such as the Sphere and the Merkabah Star along with famous shapes such as the Obelisk and the Ankh.
There will be a 20-minute break with refreshments provided.
