Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre (FEST) is delighted to invite you to a series of captivating performances of Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw on March 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th, and 30th. Inspired by the ancient Greek myth of crafting the perfect woman, Pygmalion made its debut in Vienna in 1913 and has since become a timeless masterpiece. Shaw's incisive comedy of manners weaves together themes of class, gender, and social values, challenging us to reflect on how we treat one another and the societal norms we accept. Fans of the classic film My Fair Lady will recognise the enduring wilt of Shaw's work, while our production offers fresh insights that resonate with today's audiences.
Pygmalion is directed by Daniel Toyne with Cornelia Groeger as assistant director.
