Welcome Michael and Annabel Quisao to Baltimore for an all-levels Balboa Workshop! The Goofy Side: Bal-Swing on the Unusual Side. We'll play with connecting with the less used hand and turning in the less common direction.

Bio:
Annabel and Michael have each been dancing partnered swing dances for more than 20 years, and teaching together locally and nationally since 2012. Annabel began with Lindy Hop in 2002 and then found a special passion for Balboa, which she has taught all over the world. Michael also found swing dance in the early 2000s, and he developed a love for DJing as much as for dancing. In the classroom, Annabel and Michael work to foster a fun and inspiring environment that honors the history and legacy of the various swing dances while spurring students to explore their potential and embrace their individuality. They believe that the music is the heart of the dance and that attentive partnership and comfortable technique are the keys that unlock the door to exhilarating and creative dances. Both are founding members of New Columbia Swing, DC’s premier swing dance organization–Annabel serving as the Director of Education and Michael as the Director of Music.
What you need:
-Bring your own water bottle, and plenty of it! Water is available for a charge at the VFW bar in the adjacent room.
-Slick shoes or socks to go over your shoes, balboa requires a lot of sliding

Time: 6:45-7:45 PM
Cost: $30 for the class.
Join us after class for an guided practice from 7:45-8:45PM.
