The Goode Family Visual Arts School at the Hermitage Museum & Gardens
Join us for a 4-week class dedicated to designing and creating lidded vessels. Learn techniques for throwing and trimming lids to craft perfect closed containers.
Through hands-on exercises, students will throw lids, trim, and fit the lids, with a focus on sizing and stabilization. Students will also explore lid decorations and construct functional knobs. This class is aimed at potters with enough experience on the wheel to be able to center and produce a finished pot.
