This event will feature two of the ultimate strength challenges: Deadlift & Bench Press. Whether you’re a seasoned lifter or looking to set a new personal best, this is your chance to lift big, compete, and push your limits! 💯💀
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Objective:
Lifters compete to lift the heaviest weight in each event (bench press *push* and deadlift *pull*)
The lifter with the heaviest weight in their division wins
GENERAL RULES
Scoring:
-The heaviest successful attempt in each lift is your final score (lift scores ARE NOT combined)
-Lifters are ranked based on their age/weight division
-WILKS scoring will be used to determine the “BEST OVERALL WINNER“
Attempts:
-Each lifter gets three attempts per lift
-Attempts must be declared before lifting and cannot decrease once called
Equipment:
Bench Press: Must be performed with a standard
barbell, on a flat bench
Deadlift: Conventional or sumo stance is allowed.
Belts, wrist wraps, elbow & knee sleeves are permitted
No lifting straps or deadlift suits are allowed
Bench Press Rules
-The lifter must wait for the “Start” command before lowering the bar.
-The bar must come to a complete stop on the chest before the “Press” command.
-Full lockout must be achieved before the “Rack” command.
-Feet must remain on the ground, and glutes must stay on the bench.
Deadlift Rules
-The bar must be lifted to full lockout, with knees and hips fully extended.
-No hitching or downward movement of the bar before lockout.
-The lifter must wait for the "Down" command before lowering the bar.
-Dropping the bar from the top without control results in a failed attempt
Age & Weight divisions will be determined on event day based on participants.
Prizes will be given to the Men's & Women's Overall, & the top lifter in each division. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt!
