I'm excited to announce that even though this is the third year of creating insider bourbon experiences for PusuitPalooza, we'll be doing completely new stuff! No repeats yet! PursuitPalooza takes place June 14-15 (13th for VIP night).
Brand new this year is a VIP Night on Thursday 6/13. Many folks expressed wanting to have a more intimate experience with Ryan and I, and potentially Fred. This will be limited to 8 tickets. We will start off at the Pursuit Spirits distillery with a few pours from our highly allocated inventory and unicorns. Ryan and I will dig into our stashes and bring out rare stuff for you to try. Then we will have a nice upscale dinner at Fork & Barrel which is right next door. This will be a $150 add-on to the ticket price and your meal is included.
We've got so many cool events lined up that we will split everyone into two groups again to make the most of the day. Buses will pick up everyone from the meeting point, Hotel Disil, just like last year. Hotel room block information will be shared once the tickets go on sale.
Friday will be our Louisville day. I'm excited to say we'll be headed to Copper & Kings, one of the most renowned brandy distilleries in the country who recently released their own bourbon. You will get a welcome cocktail, a private tour of their facility, and a flighted tasting of their products. I've been a huge fan of Copper & Kings for years and I've got a few bottles when I like to change things up from bourbon. Then we will be at the Pursuit Spirits Distillery doing a Pursuit United Double Oak Private Selection AND a live podcast recording AMA (ask me anything) style. We will get as many people together from the roundtable and have few microphones in the crowd to let you all ask whatever you want. These recordings will be released on the podcast so bring your sauciest questions. Just like last year, you will put your favorite barrel in a voting system and we'll reveal the winner at our evening event at Ten20 Brewing. We're inviting 3 or 4 different distilleries to Ten20 that will be sampling their whiskey for everyone AND we'll also have a collaboration beer with Ten20. It's not only just bourbon and beer but we're also going to have the Ryerita cocktail in full force. There will be plenty of options for everyone and your first two drinks at the bar are included. Mozza Pi Pizza and a soon-to-be-announced food vendor are located on-site and all your food is included at the event as well. If you want to keep the party going, you'll be walking distance to NuLu which has more bars and Evergreen's tasting room. Or you can hop on the bus which will take you back to the hotel.
On Saturday morning we will need 10 volunteers to help bottle the Pursuit United Double Oak Private Selection. If you wanted to fulfill your dream of working on a bottling line, here's your chance! 1 bottle from this private selection is included in your ticket and you'll be able to purchase additional bottles too. The bottles will be available for pick up at Hotel Distil on Saturday before we hop on the bus.
On Saturday we're headed to Cox's Creek and Clermont for behind the scenes tours at Four Roses and Jim Beam! These are not your standard tours. The folks at Four Roses will take us through a few warehouses and get a chance to see their bottling line up close. They also said they will have a few more things in store for us. At Jim Beam, we'll have an in-depth tour of the Fred B. Noe Craft Distillery and then go to Warehouse K for a thieving Knob Creek barrel experience to learn more about barrels and maturation. We'll be getting a chance to do stuff that isn't offered on their tours.
Our Saturday evening event will be hosted at Preservation Distillery. We'll hop on the bus and head into Bardstown for an evening where you get a chance to try a ton of extremely limited bottlings coming from Preservation. There will be 5 stations where you can get a bit of knowledge about all each brand, grab a cocktail, and tours will run every 20 minutes. If you want to try some of their super rare stuff like VOSN 17 year, it will be available for purchase at the cocktail bar. And if you find yourself loving a product, you can make a purchase at the gift shop as well. The Celtic Pig food truck will be there so you can grab whatever you want off their menu. Buses will leave and take us all back to Louisville.
Limited Edition tasting glasses will be included on both evenings so you can keep your collection rolling. Vegetarian options for food are taken care too.
Tickets will be $425 per person and go on sale Thursday @ 1:00pm ET. The link to purchase will come through a Patreon post like this. You much purchase a ticket to join and you must be on the bus. No stragglers or car-riders for safety reasons.
