The Laurie Roberts Bogey Fund helps promote the adoption of black cats by reducing the adoption fee by $20. Black cats are the last to be adopted because of silly superstitions. Black cats’ faces can also seem inscrutable. Their black fur makes their expressions less obvious, especially in a shelter where the lighting is not ideal.
Bogey (a black cat) had been adopted by KPIG radio host Laurie Roberts from the Shelter and when he passed away in 2014, Laurie created the Fund to honor his memory. In 2021 Laurie passed away and we would like to honor her as well. Consider donating to The Laurie Roberts Bogey Fund or make an ongoing contribution to honor Bogey and Laurie.

F.U.X.: From Under Xposure Was formed in 1990 by Art Ruiz born and raised in the Early Salinas Skate scene under the wing of Psychosomatic blending hardcore punk with fast metal progressions. Drug addiction Marriage and high powered Job caused the band to go on Extend Hiatus F.U.X. Was Reformed 2008 by Art Ruiz and Josh Wilson. Since 2008 the band has always had a revolving door of bass player currently are best and absolute Favorite Chuck Fox.
Labyrinth: Thrash Metal band from Houston, Texas formed in 2021.
The Max Riley Group: Max Riley Group formed in 2018 when Max was just 16. His love for guitar and the stylings of guitar greats such as Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkinson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix drove him into deep study of the instrument. Max and his band play a mix of original and cover instrumental music that unveils the depths of Maxs playing and the versatility of his band. Its funk, its blues, its rock, it’s a fusion of all these things into a wonderful stew of dynamic explosions, soaring leads and deep rhythmic pockets.
Outpatient X: Catchy hooks over thundering rhymths for a deceptively upbeat take on melodic punk rock.
Panhandlers Union: a Folkpunk / Murderfolk / Punk / Country band from San Jose CA. By blending a variety of musical influences, and a love for the darker side of humanity, they have created a unique sound that will haunt your ears.
Rabbit Truck: Christian, Jon and Josh playing Country, Folk, Bluegrass, Depressive, & Punk Rock from Santa Cruz.
Section 5150: A Thrash Metal band based out of the bay area (Santa Cruz, San Jose) California. Their musical style represents a modern interpretation of American Death, Swedish Death, Thrash, and many other styles.
