Meet our Speaker

Marlesa Willis is a brand strategist and business owner. She serves as the CEO and co-founder of The Marls Collective (TMC), a boutique consultancy that helps small businesses turn their values into clear stories and consistent marketing. She has worked across multiple industries, building messaging, content systems, and simple roadmaps teams actually use. TMC began from a longtime collaboration that proved how well practical strategy and real-world coaching can work together, and it’s grown into an agency focused on useful, sustainable, people-first branding. She also serves as VP of Collegiate Relations for AMA Birmingham, building up future marketers and connecting classrooms with the field. Outside the agency she volunteers in her community, spends too much money on her nieces and nephews and heralds the impact of purpose-centered growth. Colleagues often describe her style as collaborative, calm under pressure, and focused on impact over popularity.
