About the Training
The Purple Space Champions Training empowers participants to understand and address the complexities of domestic abuse within a professional setting. Through expert-led sessions and interactive discussions, you will learn about the various forms of domestic abuse—including physical, emotional, financial, and psychological abuse—and how they impact victims both at home and in the workplace.

As a Purple Space Champion, you will gain the skills to:

• Recognize the Signs of Domestic Abuse: Identify subtle and overt signs of abuse, understand the barriers victims face in seeking help, and learn how domestic abuse impacts mental health, job performance, and overall well-being.
• Provide Compassionate Support: Develop empathetic communication skills to create a safe, non-judgmental space where colleagues feel comfortable sharing their experiences if they choose to do so. This training will guide you in actively listening to victims, respecting their privacy, and acknowledging their courage.
• Direct to Appropriate Resources: Learn about the resources and support systems available for those affected by domestic abuse. You’ll be trained to connect colleagues to local charities, counseling services, and other professional support in your area, ensuring they get the help they need.
