
On October 6th Downtown Renton will shine purple for the Purple Lights Night ™ Walk. Join us in Downtown Renton on Monday October 6th 2025 for Purple Lights Night—a community walk and gathering to raise awareness and honor survivors of domestic violence.
The evening begins at 5:30 PM with a short program and distribution of glow sticks and purple swag. We’ll then walk together through downtown passing businesses illuminated in purple a symbol of hope and solidarity. The walk concludes at Renton City Hall around 6:30 PM for light refreshments and a meaningful program with DAWNRising community leaders and the official reading of the City’s Domestic Violence Awareness Proclamation.
This year’s event also features a special appearance from members of the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline and Seahawk Dancers adding energy and inspiration to the evening.
Whether you walk to honor survivors raise awareness or simply stand with your neighbors your presence makes a difference. Wear purple bring friends and family and let’s walk together for change.
