Elected officials of Columbia, Hamilton and Suwannee Counties recently declared these counties as Purple Heart Designated Counties.On, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 you are invited to help us celebrate this milestone as Command Sergeant Major William Smith presents plaques to the Counties and local entities designating as Purple Heart Counties/Municipalities (Lake City and Fort White in Columbia County, Branford and Live Oak in Suwannee County and Jasper in Hamilton County)
American Legion Post 57 is proudly hosting this event and are inviting Members of the American Legion, District and Department, Dignitaries from the above locales as well as any recipients of the Purple Heart.
Recipients of the Purple Heart gave a part or, in some cases, all of their life in the Service of this great nation.
