Salem has their Black Hat Society, so why can't Plattsburgh have a Purple Hat Society? We would like to create a group for our youth that meets quarterly and supports their Pagan/Magical backgrounds. Our meetings will revolve around an afternoon tea, a story/myth/article, and some sort of magical craft. We plan to have a group for littles (5-10) and teens/tweens (11-17). Teens/tweens' craft will focus more on "the craft" as opposed to simply arts & crafts.
Our first meeting will be to get to know everyone and see who's interested. All attendees will be given a black woven witch's hat to decorate with all manner of purple adornments like ribbons, lace, buttons, flowers, etc. These will become the hats they wear to future meetings. 🧙‍♀️ Littles must be accompanied by an adult. Class fee is $20 to help pay for supplies.
