Everybody has a longing for purity. Pure food, pure water, pure beaches, pure earth. We know its value and we understand how impurities or toxins contaminate and cause sickness and suffering.
Imagine the supreme value of having a pure mind. A mind free form the toxicity of hate, anger, worry and fear.
Compassion has the power to purify our mind. To make it pure, free from the causes to our internal unhappiness. It has the power to connect us to everyone and ripen the most extraordinary potential within our mind. To become a pure compassionate being.
In this retreat, we will delve into ancient proven methods to purify our mind , combined with the powerful practice of ‘Taking’, or Tonglen. An ancient method practiced by past and present meditation masters to enhance their compassion and purify negativities.
With purification practices, we will cultivate the compassionate and superior intention to alleviate the suffering of others. We train in mentally taking on the suffering of others as our own. This functions to purify our own mind of negative potentialities or karma.
The meditations will be guided, and all are welcome to attend. By learning these meditations and practicing regularly, we will discover there is no situation where it cannot be used to the immeasurable benefit of ourselves and others.
