🌿 About The Karma House
The Karma House is more than a kava bar — it’s a community hub built on connection, creativity, and conscious living. We’re a space where people come together to laugh, heal, create, and be themselves. From comedy nights and poetry slams to yoga, live music, and healing arts, everything we host is rooted in our mission: to nurture authentic community and collective joy.
🥥 What Is Kava?
Kava (pronounced kah-vah) is a traditional ceremonial drink made from the root of the Piper methysticum plant, native to the South Pacific islands such as Fiji, Vanuatu, and Tonga. For centuries, kava has been used by island communities to bring people together — fostering relaxation, storytelling, and peaceful connection.
Known for its calming, grounding effects, kava helps ease stress and quiet the mind without impairing clarity or cognition. At The Karma House, we serve high-quality, traditionally prepared kava as a way to honor its cultural roots and create a space where everyone can slow down, connect, and be present.
Fun fact: In Fijian and Hawaiian tradition, sharing a bowl of kava is a symbol of unity and respect — a perfect pairing for a night of laughter and community.
