Bring your furry friend and join us on March 1st in Downtown OWA for Puppy Gras. From the Puppy Gras Parade and costume contest to various activities throughout Downtown OWA, there’s something for every pup and their human. Be sure to dress in your Mardi Gras best! Puppy Gras Parade registration guarantees you a spot in our costume contest with cash prizes given for OWA Choice, Puppy Gras King, Puppy Gras Queen, Funniest, and Most Festive!
Don’t miss out on hands-on activities like creating pet toys at The WoofShop or grabbing a sweet treat at the Pup Cup Station.
Register below for just a $10 donation or sign-up day of for a $15 donation and join us for a day of tail-wagging, treat-fetching, and festive fun! All proceeds from registration fees will be donated to Krewe de Rescue.

Schedule of Events:
- 1:00 – 2:00 pm: Day of registration for $15 on OWA Island
- 1:00 – 5:00 pm:
o Live DJ music on OWA Island
o Barkour Arena at the Native Treasures Alcove
o Krewe de Rescue Pet Adoption
o Fluffy’s pop-up tent
o Fill up a treat bag at the Doggy Snack Shack at the Sweet Tooth flowerbed
o Create pet toys at The WoofShop at the Downtown Fountain
o Pup Cup Station at Starbucks *One per person, while supplies last*
- 2:30: Parade kickoff starting on OWA Island
- Immediately following Parade: Doggy costume contest on the Island Stage
- While the judges deliberate: Southern K-9 Training Solutions lesson by David Jones
- Immediately following Contest: Award Ceremony
