What the session involves...- Letting your puppy off the lead in a safe environment.
- We will be on hand to show you how to appropriately socialise and avoid common pitfalls
- These sessions are so valuable at this early stage in your pups development. Helping build confidence with positive interactions & exposure.
- Understanding your dog's communication can help you identify what your dog needs before a situation may escalate, we'll be on hand to talk you through their body language, discussion of play styles, show you if, how and when you may need to get involved and regain some attention.
- Some pups just come along once where others will benefit from multiple sessions. This will be discussed with you during the session.
Why choose our social sessions?
We will help set your puppy up to learn social skills for their life.
Contrary to advice you may have heard, socialising is more than just other dogs and it's not about introducing your puppy to as many dogs as possible. Ideally it's more about positive gradual exposure. If your puppy meets 3 dogs over a week and all interactions went well, even if it's a brief meeting this stacks up and will help to increase your puppies confidence without overwhelming them or magnetising them to other dogs.
We have a small number of puppies and an adult dog present. We will do our best to match your pups temperament and help you understand those subtle body language so you can step in early if needed and of course enjoy observing good communication during play or interactions.
