The Casey Powell Lacrosse Foundation is proud to announce The Great Pumpkin Stickout. This is a 6v6 tournament played on a sideline-to-sideline format. We will follow rules set for 6’s for the Olympics. Age groups are as follows: BOYS- 34, 33, 32, 31, 30, 29. GIRLS- high school. This event is set for October 25th, at the Hoover Met complex in Hoover Alabama. Our goal for the day is to compete and have fun. But mostly have fun! Enjoying a day of family, lacrosse and the spirit of the game while celebrating our efforts to raise money for CPLF in support of sick and injured lacrosse players. "Share, support, inspire!" This is the mindset we want all players, coaches and parents to have for the day. Roster sizes are LIMITED to 16. The format is 6v6, (typically 10 to 16 players including a goalie). Each team will get 3 games minimum, possibly a championship game, all games 25 min in length- running time. We ask that a parent from each team help run the scoring table for their son/daughter’s game. Each team will have at least 1 hour in between games in order to get a break but also visit our lacrosse combine which will be run for each age group.
Games at the Hoover Met will start at 9am and end by 2pm at the latest. All games will be played at the Hoover Met complex. More details will be provided around October 20th with exact start times and schedules.

LACROSSE COMBINE: We will run a lacrosse combine at the event which will be set similarly to an NFL combine. Its structure will be finalized closer to the event, but imagine a 5 station event focusing on shooting skills measured by time, and accuracy. The combine will be run by CPLF founder Casey Powell, and the University of Alabama club lacrosse team.
POST EVENT: Following the event we ask tournament attendees to join Casey Powell at Brocks Gap Brewing company. We will have pint glasses for sale with proceeds going to the foundation, as well as opportunities to interact with Casey directly. Here we can wind down after the event, socialize with other teams, and learn more about the CPLF and supporting the great game of lacrosse.
