It’s almost that time of year again! Join us for our family-friendly and eco-awesome Pumpkin Smashing Party This year, we’re teaming up with Cultivate KC at the Juniper Gardens Training Farm to divert pumpkins from KC landfills!
Did you know that pumpkins take up a lot of resources to grow and often end up in landfills? This creates greenhouse gases that warm our planet when they could be nourishing the soil instead! Let’s keep those pumpkins out of the landfill—smash them to bits and send them to have a new life in the soil as nutrient-rich compost!
