Bring your own pumpkin and decorate it using supplies provided by the Library. Decorated pumpkins will be entered into a contest during our Fall Festival event on October 16!Explore your creativity with a fun autumnal activity! Using your own pumpkin or gourd, create a design individually or in a group for a chance to win a small prize. Pumpkins will be displayed around the lake in Halle Park during the library’s Fall Festival event on Thursday, October 16. Fall Festival participants can vote for their favorite design as they walk around the lake and trick-or-treat! This contest is open to youth in grades K – 12 and families. Registration is required and will open on October 1, 2025.
If you are signing up for a family or group, please register only once with the best contact information for your group.
Event Details
You will need to bring your own pumpkin. Please decorate only one pumpkin per group.
The Library will provide craft supplies, paint, markers, etc. However, you are welcome to bring your own craft supplies from home if you would like.
Craft supplies will be available in the Storytelling Room from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15. You do not need to stay the whole time, and you can drop in at any point during these two hours to decorate your pumpkin.
You may draw or paint on your pumpkin. You may also attach objects, paper, or materials of any kind.
Designs must be family friendly.
No candles or electrical devices are permitted.
Entries will be removed immediately following the Fall Festival. If you would like to keep your pumpkin after the Festival, please let us know when you come to decorate it so that it is not discarded.
The winner will be announced by email to contest participants on Friday, October 17, 2025.
