Waterbury Recreation hosts the second annual Pumpkin Chucking Contest at Dac Rowe Fields. The event takes place on Saturday, November 16 at 11am.To participate, athletes must bring one or more non-perishable food items to be donated to the Waterbury Common Market. No registration is required.
To compete, pairs will attempt to throw and catch a pumpkin the longest distance. The farthest successful throw wins a real turkey!
Pairs only advance to longer distances when they complete a throw. Incomplete throws are not counted and there are no re-dos. Pairs can consist of children, youth, and adults.
Let's chuck pumpkins for a great cause!
