On the 4th October our annual Pumpkin and Beer Festival is back with a great selection and variety of beers, ales and pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, and live music.
In addition to the Pumpkin Competition we will again be having the "Vegetable Monster" Competition. Design and create a scary monster or beastie from a vegetable or selection of veg.
We also have the Scarecrow Competiition!!!
There will be prizes for all competitions, so let your imaginations run wild. We hope to see you here!
Please get all competition entries to us before 2pm!
We will also have Pumpkin-based foods and treats including:
Pumpkin Soup, Pumpkin Pie & Cake, and Pumpkin Curry
This year's PUMPKIN & BEER FESTIVAL features music from RAZZOMO and theatre from HAND TO MOUTH at 2pm.
Razzomo are a full power Balkan House/Gypsy Folk Duo! They mix sizzling Gypsy+Irish fiddle lines with booming guitar beats & loops - you'll be amazed at the sound and energy they can make from just the 2 of them! They play Balkan, Celtic and Klezmer folk styles in our own way, led by Lucy Razz's fiery fiddle playing, accompanied with Tomo's powerful guitar beats - where he plays chords and percussion on his guitar simulateneously.
Hand To Mouth Theatre present “Piggery Jokery”, a whimsical perambulation through the seasons, touching on the circular nature of time, as told by the Green Man and his hurdy-gurdy playing Droning Crone and their troupe of rag-bag characters. There is plenty of laughter along the way as the old farmer tends his land and fattens his pig for the winter. Suitable for all ages from little acorns to old oaks.
