A major part of Ballroom has always been talent, creativity, and fashion in various forms - from recreating to reinventing. International Ballroom and new generations are still inspired and highly impacted by those nostalgic classics we all crave for and have watched repeatedly!
The legacy of the founding generations - from the gold era (1967-1973) , the white era (1974-1985) and the red era (1986-1990) to the black era ( 1991-1998). Know your history, it starts here : https://artsandculture.google.com/project/ballroom-eras
The excellence and elegance of that era translate and lives on until this day. Keeping in mind that heritage, now it's your turn to bring nostalgia back to life and Pump into the future!
Using Ballroom Nostalgia as a starting point - recreate a classic fashion look of the given decades for your category:
- ACT I : For the first half, all categories shall reference & revive the the 60s & 70s era.
- ACT II: For the second half, all categories shall reference & revive the the 80s & 90s era.
Be inspired by the various trends, social movements, Designers, or Artists that influenced the fashion landscape during that specific period. Think of classic Styles, Silhouettes, Shapes, Fabrics,Textures, Colors and Patterns as well as Accessories, Hair & Makeup trends.
