Emancipet is a low-cost non-profit veterinary clinic with two locations in Philadelphia. We offer affordable veterinary care to the communities that need it most so that people and their pets can stay together.
Pulling for Pets is a FREE one-day event that features teams of ghosts and goblins (and pet lovers!) competing to pull a John’s Water Ice truck over 30 feet in the fastest time down the street that Rocky famously ran through.
But speed isn’t the only thing that counts in this tournament – awards will be given out for best costumes top individual and team fundraisers and more.
This family friendly event will feature food and beverage from DiBruno Bros. Tito’s Handmade Vodka samples caricature artist pet poet face painter a pizza eating contest sponsored by Nannie Franco’s and raffle prizes! We will also be broadcasting the Eagles vs. Steelers matchup so you don’t have to miss the big game!
Every dollar raised at Pulling for Pets goes to support Emancipet’s mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone. Your life-changing support at this event goes directly to ensuring Philadelphia pet owners have access to low-cost vet care. You can carry the weight even if just for one day for a person who feels like vet care is out of reach because of financial barriers.
