Please note the following changes regarding PUGkin 2025:1. Instead of paying a set costume entry fee, we are moving to a donation platform.
2. If you want to participate in the costume contest you will need to make a monetary donation to Pug Rescue Austin. You can donate prior to the event by visiting https://austinpugrescue.com/pugkin. You can type in any amount to donate but remember that Pug Rescue Austin is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. Alternatively, you can donate the day of PUGkin. DONATIONS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE, if you aren’t sure you can attend you will want to wait until the day of PUGkin to donate.
These funds are being donated to care for homeless pugs in our area. It is my hope that everyone who enters the contest will consider that when deciding on an amount.
3. We will track donations but it’s a good idea to provide proof.
4. Dogs currently in foster care with any rescue organization can enter for free.
5. When you arrive at PUGkin you will need to complete registration at the registration table and pick up a contest lanyard.
6. Categories are:
Puppy (up to 2 yrs NO PUPPIES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FULLY VACCINATED)
Adult (3-9 yrs)
Senior (10+ yrs)
Group/Grumble (must include one pug)
Best in Show
Honorable Mention
People’s Choice Award
7. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given out to all categories except for Best in Show, Honorable Mention and People’s Choice.
8. There is no theme, or theme category this year.
