About this Event

Join Maggie Rivera (https://priestessofmoonlight.com/) at the Queens Botanical Garden to celebrate Puerto Rican heritage month with a Puerto Rican Herbalism Plant Walk!

Together, we will explore the medicines of the Earth Mother who is known by Boricuas and Tainos as Atabey. Participants will explore the garden to learn about plants used in Puerto Rican and Caribbean cuisine, medicine and a brief introduction to the ancestral spirit Atabey as we go.

Maggie is a Bronx native Boricua who is a herbalist of 7 years, an astrologer of 10 years and aspiring anthropologist/archaeologist who is looking to weave the worlds of mythology, the stars and the earth.
