In this class, students will create two ornaments using Pueblo chiles. All materials, including a variety of adornments, will be provided.
About Your Instructor:
About 15 years ago I had a bumper crop of Chilies in my garden. When they started turning red on the green plants it reminded me of Christmas. That was the inspiration for making the Chili Pepper Ornaments. I made them for family and friends and have been making every year since. Since moving to Pueblo, they have become Pueblo Chili Ornaments, and I use the Pueblo Mirasol Chili Pepper to make them. It has become the highlight of the Holiday Season for me. I very much look forward to and enjoy teaching the Pueblo Chili Ornament class every December at the Sangre de Criston Arts Center.
