About this Event
Lauded by the National Academy of Medicine as "reshaping the narrative around food, health, and environmental stewardship," La Puma Farms is a certified organic regenerative 3 acre health-oriented private farm. It supplies Bell's, Mattei's Tavern, Caruso's and Na-Na-Thai locally and interweaves cutting-edge sustainable farming practices with pioneering research on the medical benefits of outdoor engagement.
Learning about the farm's wild biodiversity and how regenerative farming and gardening work to grow the best flavors you can eat and drink. Pick caviar limes and taste olive oil and honey all made on the farm.
Must be able to walk up hills and on uneven ground. No pets. Do not park on site unless you are not physically able to walk down the hill from Escondido Park: park on Flora Vista and walk down. If you are a carpool of six people or more, parking onsite is limited to 10 cars, and you may park in front of the garge.
This special tour will be led by John La Puma MD, a practicing internist, NYTimes best-selling author and professionally trained chef credited with pioneering "culinary medicine," now taught in 80% of U.S. medical schools.
