Facilitators:
Denise Stewart is a speaker and executive coach specializing in storytelling, leadership, and executive presence. She regularly presents for UVA’s Health Leadership Institute and the Darden School of Business, helping leaders communicate with impact. Her past clients include UNC Chapel Hill’s Advanced Leaders Corps, Urban Grid, Sun Tribe Solar, Silverchair, Ameriprise Financial, the Women in Internal Medicine Network, and the Global Pathfinders Summit. With a background as a theatre artist, TEDx speaker, and speaker coach, Denise brings a unique, performance-based approach to leadership communication. A lecturer at UVA since 2013, she currently teaches at the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.
Jorge Gutierrez Luthe is a strategic leader and expert communicator with a distinguished career in engineering, marketing, and data science across six countries. As Chief of Staff at Google, he partnered with senior executives to craft high-impact messaging and drive strategic initiatives. Now, as the founder of Better Storytelling at Work, he helps technical and senior leaders master high-stakes presentations—whether in the boardroom, with investors, or in front of key stakeholders. With over 15 years of experience, Jorge has developed a public speaking methodology that bridges cultural boundaries and strengthens executive presence. He has lectured at top global MBA programs, including UVA Darden, IPADE, INSEAD, and Imperial College London.
