About this Event

On Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, a number of organizations, and companies, are sponsoring a Candidate Forum in order to hear from candidates, Chairman of the DC Council, At-Large Council, and those aspiring to become the next Attorney General for the District of Columbia, about Public Safety and Policing in the District of Columbia.

According to Rosalind Styles, a sponsor of the Forum, “…over the last several months we have heard about a lot of plans and prospective programs, focusing on an array of issues, however, Wednesday night we will solely focus on Public Safety and Policing issues, and we will be awaiting to hear the plans from the candidates...”

Wednesday night we will have as our moderator for the evening, Dr. Roger Mitchell, former Washington, DC, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, and Mistress of Ceremonies, “Heaven” of WTLS-Radio, on air personality and entrepreneur.

Furthermore, Ms. “SS” Seegars, of CRAV, Concerned Residents Against Violence, and a sponsor of the Forum, said, “…this forum regarding only Public Safety and Policing issues should allow us to be able to distinguish the better laid out public safety and policing plan for the District…”.

We want to thank Pastor Dexter Nutall, the New Bethel Baptist Church family, the technology and Forum production team, Imani Catering, our sponsors, and supporters.

This event will be broadcast to the public. A link to the broadcast website will be provided for attendees soon. You can check back here on Eventbrite for the broadcast link and any other updates for this event.
