We cordially invite the Fond du Lac and surrounding communities to the Public Ribbon Cutting at the Odyssey Cinemas and Social Fond du Lac 8 theatre at 3 PM on Thursday September 26th, 2024 with an open house to the public immediately following until 7 PM!Guests will start their adventure at the newest destination theatre by being treated to free soda and popcorn. The public building areas and auditoriums will be open for the guests to view the amazing new upgrades including but not limited to ticketing kiosks which they may buy tickets for movies opening the next day and week, a 26 tap beer, wine, margarita and mixed drink wall, a completely new concession stand, luxury heated electric leather recliners with privacy walls. all new wall to wall screens, completely renovated restrooms, revamped sound systems and last but not least a Premium Format Auditorium (#2) featuring a massive 60 foot wall to wall high gain screen with Laser projection, audio powered by world-class Trinnov audio with 20 speakers and 7.1 surround sound and cutting edge 3D sound technology!
No movies will play on this day but presentations will be on all screens for guests to experience the new state of the art sound and projection systems!
Max the Trailhound, the Odyssey mascot, will be on-site and there are rumors Sonic the Hedgehog is planning on coming as well!
Tickets for the opening weekend showings will go on sale no later than Tuesday, September 24th at www.odysseycinemas.com.
Please note concessions and alcohol will not be on sale for the open house.
