The Historic Gungahlin Homestead will have it's doors open for you to come and explore this wonderful piece of Canberra's history. The Homestead was built in two major stages - a rendered brick Georgian house built in 1862-65 by William Davis Jnr. and the grand sandstone Victorian addition of 1883 by Edward Crace.
Take in the serenity of the pines, elms and poplars in the surrounding grounds, and take a tour through the homestead and coach house.
Entry is free.
Access via Bellenden Street.
As much as we love pets, due to the Gungahlin homestead and grounds being a heritage site as well as an active CSIRO research centre, we cannot have dogs or pets coming to the open day.
