About this Event
This event is part of the Center for Western Priorities’ Keep Parks Public campaign, as well as the National Parks Conservation Association’s Protect Every Park campaign.
Join us for a live podcast taping about national public lands and the threats facing them at Fisher Brewing (320 W 800 S, Salt Lake City) on Thursday, August 21, from 6 to 9 p.m.! Podcast taping will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
We’ll be discussing the impacts of funding cuts, new laws, and layoffs on our beloved public lands—from the forests of the Wasatch to the parks, national monuments, and BLM lands of southern Utah.
We’ve brought together an expert panel to discuss these issues, including Erika Pollard with the National Parks Conservation Association, Davina Smith with the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition, Doug Tolman with Save Our Canyons, and Scott Braden with the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance. Kate Groetzinger, with the Center for Western Priorities, will moderate the discussion.
After the panel, you’ll have the chance to visit with representatives from these groups to learn more about fighting back against attacks on our public lands.
Please RSVP and invite a friend or colleague who loves public lands! Drinks and food will be available for purchase. Attendees must be 21+.
By signing up for this event, your email address will be shared with the groups represented on the panel. You can unsubscribe at any time.
