This training is FREE, open to the public and taking place in person at the Abrams public health center. We will be located on the first floor in conference rooms 1106 and 1108.
This 75-minute training covers how to identify and respond to an opioid overdose and expands on the concept of harm reduction and its key values. Audiences will learn how to identify examples of harm reduction as it relates to everyday life and, specifically, for people who use drugs (PWUD). Presenters will discuss current overdose trends in our community and share valuable overdose prevention tips for PWUD. Participants will leave understanding how to test drugs for fentanyl and save a life using Narcan nasal spray.
Free Narcan will be provided to all who attend!
