We are are hosting this ***first-of-its-kind*** Upper Ottawa Valley gathering so individuals and organizations can:
• share concerns about the extreme and unpredictable weather and many other effects of intensifying climate change;
• learn what exciting and inspiring things are already happening;
• explore collaborative ways that organizations, municipalities, and individuals can prepare for and tackle local climate change challenges;
• dare to be hopeful!
We invite you and all interested members of your family, friends circles, and organization to join us Tuesday October 1, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, at the Legion in Eganville.

We chose October 1st in solidarity with the Seniors for Climate national network, which has mobilized 55 or more events by seniors about climate matters across Canada on that day. This is because Oct 1st is National Seniors Day, and we need to show our Grey Power about the climate issues. All our Valley Climate Action volunteers are "older adults" but...
THIS FORUM WELCOMES ALL AGES.
There is no entry cost for this day-long event.
The location is fully accessible.
To join us at the Forum we ask that you help in these ways:
• Register in advance by September 27. Use this online link: actionnetwork.org/events/climate-matters-ov If you need more info or online doesn’t work for you, phone Gail at 613-559-0546. Please leave a voice message if Gail can’t answer when you call.
• Kindly bring your own lunch to help us with the costs of hosting this event. We will provide beverages. Some snacks will be available during the breaks.
• If you are able to help, we can use more volunteers.
• If you can, a freewill donation at the door will assist us to continue this work.
