Join Orange Blossom Protogrove and Raven's Cry Grove as they celebrate the summer solstice with a Greek celebration of Thargelia, a ritual celebrating the first fruits of the season. We will be celebrating at a "pocket" park in Old Town Orange. Pitcher Park is in a quiet little residential area, and full of fruit trees. Thargelia is a celebration of Apollo and Artemis commemorating their birthdays. The first fruits and grains of the season are offered to Apollo as not only a birthday gift but to appease him so that the rest of the summer is mild and the remaining harvests, bountiful.
