Join us on Wednesday, September 17, from 6:30 - 8 pm for our ninth Public Domain Theatre program! This month's free movie is a 1922 film called Nosferatu.Silent, shadowy, and sinister, Nosferatu is the film that defined horror as we know it. This unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula brings Count Orlok to life—a nightmarish vampire with grotesque features and an unrelenting hunger. With its eerie cinematography and haunting atmosphere, F.W. Murnau’s German Expressionist masterpiece remains one of the most influential horror films of all time.
💡 Fun fact: The filmmakers were sued by Stoker's estate, and nearly all copies of the film were ordered destroyed—but luckily, Nosferatu survived to terrorize audiences for generations!
This event is free, and light concessions will be available for purchase during the show. Please stick around after the movie for a discussion with host Dennis Everette.
