Public Breakup is like if The Breakfast Club characters became best friends and performed comedy shows together. The stoners, the homecoming queen, the quirky nerd, and even a jock. An unlikely combination of misfits, Public Breakup is known for sweetly misguided characters who just can’t let it go, committed and tightly choreographed musical numbers, and exploring the dumbest possible realities - like what if people fished for crows in the sky instead of fish in water?

This show features all new sketches from the crew who brought you Giant Bird Pretending to be Human, Grease's Unsung Hero Guy McJohnson, and Beat The Sh*t Out of Bobby Flay.

Public Breakup has been performing sketch comedy to sold-out audiences throughout Los Angeles since 2019. Together they write and perform a bi-monthly show at the Broadwater Black Box Theater in Hollywood and host the Sketch Cagematch at Upright Citizens Brigade. PBU’s comedy has been featured at Toronto Sketchfest, iO Fest, Montreal Sketchfest, Philly Sketchfest, SketchFest Seattle, the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, MILF Festival, and Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival.

Individually, Public Breakup members have appeared in TV shows and national commercials, can be seen on house improv teams at UCB and WGIS, and have taken home top prizes at the Austin Film Festival.

But they are most proud of being best friends with each other.
