Get ready for New Years Eve at P and G with our next special wine event! For $25 we will be tasting 6 unique sparkling wines from around the world. But why bubbles? The tradition of drinking champagne on New Year's dates back to the 17th century when wealthy French citizens would drink champagne as a symbol of prosperity. By the 19th century bubbly became a global tradition associated with joyous occasions. It was used to mark both the joy and sanctity of an occasion. Sparklers do this symbolically, but also visually, since they overflow in abundance and joy. Cheers to that! As always we will be offering specials on full glasses and bottles that are sure to please when they are popped at midnight! No need to purchase a ticket, just come find us at the Wine Bar! It does help us adequately prepare if you hit that 'going ' button for us. Our kitchen is also going to be whipping up a special dish you can add on to your tasting or enjoy without. This staple will be a sparkling wine's perfect accompaniment and be complemented by some traditional New Years food. See you there!
