Purpose and Goals:
Education:
To provide accurate and age-appropriate information about puberty, including physical changes, & emotional experiences.
Support:
To create a safe space for young people to ask questions, share concerns, and connect with peers who are going through similar experiences.
Empowerment:
To help young people make informed decisions about their bodies and health, and to advocate for their needs.
Reduce stigma:
To combat misinformation and negative attitudes surrounding puberty and menstruation.
Promote healthy behaviors:
To encourage healthy habits and decision-making related to puberty and adolescence.
How Peer Programs Work:
Training:
Peer educators will receive training from professionals to equip them with the knowledge and skills to deliver information and facilitate discussions. NO SEX talk will be covered at this event. Parents can see Mrs. Daphanie for more information if needed.
Delivery Methods:
Event will include presentations, workshops, group discussions, and Q&A.
