The Irish dance Pub Take-over is back again by popular demand! You can join us while we take over the Dubliner Folk Pub Saturday 20th of September- with the Saturday folk session in the evening and our dear friends In "Murray Well" Brendan, J Eoin, Luis and Dag playing through the night! There will be dancing at the session, there will be dancing through the night, there will be dancing in all corners of the pub, though probably not on the tables 😉
So pack your dancing shoes, bring your best smile and get ready for the dancing craic! (Skills not needed- just a love for Irish dance and music!)
This will happen:
(NB! Times might change slightly.)
• Session from approx. 1600. (Organized dancing aprox 1700- 1800)
Musicians will gather in the front bar for the weekly Saturday session. Anyone can join with their own instruments. Session theme: Folk music, predominantly, but not exclusive to, Irish folk music. Dancers can bring their dance shoes, there will be trad tunes so you can tap away!
- There will be coordinated dancing by the kids and adult aprox between 1700- 1800, and sporadically throughout the session.
• Band from 2245- 0200.
Our very dear and absolutely brilliant Brendan Monaghan, J Eoin, Luis Landa-Schreitt and Dag Henning Kalvøy, will treat us to fiery reels, beautiful songs and a great craic. There will be many opportunities to dance and to see proper Irish dancers in action with live music.
- There will be coordinated performances, dance-jammes and Ceilis during the 2 first sets. (aprox 2245- 0100)
• In between dancing thirsty dancers and guests can buy their hearts desire from the lovely bartenders in one of the 4 bars. Kitchen closes at 22.00
You don’t want to miss out on this “ultra-Irish experience” so bring your friends and family and we'll dance the day and night away!
(Irish dancers, not currently dancing with Sound-Irish Dance Factory can contact [email protected] if you want to join the dancing and want to prepare. There will be links to steps and additional information.)
