Dear Melbourne, Pub Choir is coming to visit on April 30th for a VERY iconic sing at the Palais Theatre!
‘What is Pub Choir?’ is not a question asked very often by locals these days, because Astrid and her gang of loons are approaching 8 years of singing chaos! But if you’ve been in an 8-year-long cultural (or medical) coma, let us help you: Pub Choir is an improvised, comedy choir lesson where even the most untalented voices are given something to do. Astrid will distract the room to temporary musical greatness, as nobody ever gets better at singing by the end. We all just try to feel somewhere between 1-10% less ashamed.
You’ll be taught one song in harmony at the show, and um… that’s it! Achievable goals for averagely talented people (that’s everybody).
Join the friendliest, most low-key, chaotic night of music-making that starts on the dot at 8pm and is over around 10pm (HELLO SLEEP).
Also, for the first time EVER in Naarm, this will be an allocated seating show. As always, Astrid will teach different sections of the room different things to sing, so read the ticketing instructions and choose your seats wisely to match your voice.
