About this Event
This masterclass highlights the legal duties involved in managing psychosocial risks in the workplace and the important role quality social connections play. Participants will be taken through high level, legal obligations for managing psychosocial risk and learn how fostering strong relationships can directly and indirectly address psychosocial hazards like; poor workplace relationships, low supervisor support, (emotional) job demands, poor organisational change management and harmful behaviours. Participants will also learn to identify risks that threaten social connections, such as working remotely, loneliness, conflict, and poor communication.
We will explore the roles of key neurotransmitters like oxytocin and dopamine in fostering trust, collaboration, engagement and resilience among employees. Through the application of Charlotte’s ART of Connection Framework, this masterclass offers science-backed research, practical strategies, and interactive exercises to equip participants with the tools to create a supportive work environment that enhances individual wellbeing, high performance and the health of the organisation. The application of the ART of Connection Framework walks participants through the neurobiology of social interactions, where they will gain an AWARENESS of how their nervous systems influences their health, performance & social connections. They will then be given the opportunity to consider how they RESPOND in their connections, with a curious mindset, to foster a psychologically safe environment.
Finally, they will be encouraged to create TINY BEHAVIOURS to help nurture their social connections and create a culture of care and performance. This masterclass will enable participants to proactively manage psychosocial hazards, buffer stress, boost productivity, increase their levels of engagement and job satisfaction. Participants will walk away having familiarized themselves with the legal obligations for effective psychosocial risk management and have had the opportunity to reflect on their own abilities as an artful connector and equip themselves with the tools that help promote positive social interactions and contribute to a culture of trust.
