Get ready to dive into a mind-bending journey of psychedelic techno and dark progressive psytrance as Meerkat takes the stage at An Spailpín Fanach on October 19th.
Meerkat is the solo project of Mark Ahessy, who was born and raised in Southern Ireland. Mark began his contribution to the Irish Psychedelic scene through promoting events across the country. It wasn't long before his passion for the music evolved into a more hands on approach and the Meerkat initiative was born. Initially a DJ project, the production bug soon bit Mark and his started producing his own brand of Psychedelia. Meerkats music ranges from groove Psy tech to dark playful prog and is constantly striving to push the boundaries with his sonic palette.
Meerkat has just released his debut album Temple of Shroom on Alpaka Muzik, a world renowed and highly repected record label from Montreal, Canada which focuses on the freshest of underground psychedelic techno. His new Psy-Tech LP expands his spectrum of possibilities for his live sets to give the dancefloor an even more progressive and deep dance experience!
